I am pleased to write this letter of reference for Pavla Kovats. Pavla served as the bookkeeper for Memex, Inc for almost seven years. To describe Pavla as just a bookkeeper though, really underplays all that she did for us. As a satellite office to our headquarters located in Scotland, Pavla for all intense and purposes was our financial controller. She ensured that bills were paid, that accounts were collected, managed our banking relationships, interfaced with Corporate in Scotland, and coordinated our annual audit. Pavla was an integral part of our business.
In addition to her work acumen, Pavla was extremely flexible. Though part time, she worked around our busy periods ensuring that our requirements and needs were met. Pavla was personable and a person of integrity. She was a trusted member of the team. Her attitude and industry made her a pleasurable person to work with.

Paula did a superb job for our 8-store retail operation before moving off to Colorado in mid-2007, and we miss her dearly. She had great attention-to-detail, speed and professionalism, and an intimate knowledge of both Quickbooks and bookkeeping/accounting. Upon arrival at our company in 2002, she took over a horribly mismanaged bookkeeping system and through diligent and incisive work managed to set it straight. Thereafter, it was totally smooth sailing for our company, which has circa $3 million in annual sales, 30-plus employees, and lots of vendor invoices, staff expenses, and operational costs to deal with each month.
